What were the advantages of the apartment?

Benefiting from a double exposure, it offers beautiful light (despite its 1st floor), reinforced by the presence of large bay windows, decorated with two balconies, one on the living room side (10 - 15 meters from the street, with an unobstructed view) and the other, on the bedroom side (garden, not overlooked). For such a property to fit into Pierre and Benedicte's budget, you should know that the price displayed was a bit below market and that it was absolutely necessary to redo everything (70s).

Why did it almost fail at a nearby parking space?

Immediately under the spell, Pierre asks that Benedicte be able to see him, the same evening, in order to be able to formulate an offer as soon as possible: they will offer 1 million, with parking, instead of the 1.15 million requested. While they were in the middle of negotiations with the real estate agency in charge of the file, the latter received an offer at the price of another purchaser. Fortunately for the young couple, they had finally accepted the offer at the price. As a result, they were technically the first and were able to get the apartment! All that remained was to ensure their financing, given the fact that Pierre was still in a trial period. When studying their file, the broker HS was quite confident: the couple was well below their borrowing capacity and their profile as “young people, with high purchasing power”, is generally highly coveted by banks. Indeed, the loan offer was not difficult to obtain...

Who did they entrust the work to be done?

Being “totally in its original condition”, the apartment had to be completely redone. For the record, during the second visit, the young couple and Marie heard construction noises in the apartment next door: they therefore played the curious and went to pay a short visit to the site manager. The latter, understanding, allowed them to take a look at the work they had just completed: the whole was magnificent and very bright! Benedicte and Pierre therefore kept the contact details of the manager and entrusted him with the renovation of their property, for a total of €200,000. At this price, the kitchen became a bedroom, the largest of the 2 bathrooms would become the kitchen and the space covering the other bathroom, the WC and a closet, was transformed into a shower room and separate toilet. In summary, only the rooms retained their original structure.
