My client lives in the United States. He was looking for a Paris address worthy of his expectations: an apartment with character, in a neighborhood that never goes out of style, a few minutes' walk from the museums and the Seine. His brief was simple to state and difficult to satisfy: the exceptional, without compromise.
Rue Freycinet, facing the Musée Galliera, in the heart of the Chaillot district: this apartment matched every line of the brief. Getting there meant ruling out everything else. That is the real work of a hunter at the top of the market: see a great deal, rule out quickly, and only move your client for a home that deserves the trip. Our network of fifteen thousand partner agents, built since 2011, exists for exactly that: to miss nothing of what comes up on those streets.
Behind the Haussmann facade, an architect-led renovation preserved the elegance of the old, mouldings and period fireplace, while introducing a contemporary touch: a kitchen with Haussmann-inspired cabinetry and a marble backsplash, two en suite bedrooms with their own bathrooms, and a wraparound balcony overlooking a private mansion.
Then my work did the rest: the negotiation, carried out for the buyer and the buyer only, followed by the coordination of every step, from the notaire to the keys. From the first visit to the signature, my client had nothing to handle.
This is the property hunter's craft as I love it: at the prestige end of the market, standing on the buyer's side and on no one else's, where the finest addresses are decided fast. If you are looking for your own Paris address, let's talk.
The film's opening, in Ladan's words
We are in one of the most prestigious addresses in Paris, the Chaillot district, in the heart of the 16th arrondissement. It is my pleasure to show you a magnificent apartment that I acquired for an American client. It is simply sublime, facing the Musée Galliera. Come along, follow me!
For American buyers
Buying from the United States
Can I buy an apartment in Paris while living in the United States?
Yes. Home Select runs the entire search from Paris: shortlisting, guided video tours of each apartment, then the negotiation and the coordination of every step through to the keys. Our American clients follow the whole process remotely and travel only when they choose to.
Do I need to be in Paris for the signature?
No. The deed of sale can be signed by power of attorney at the notaire's office. We prepare each step with the notaire and stay at your side, on the buyer's side only, through to the handover of the keys.
What happens after the keys?
Our support does not stop at the signature. Our hunters have helped American buyers find contractors, oversee renovation work and furnish their apartment in the Parisian style before they even arrived.
