Jean Mascla, an engineer by training and former corporate executive, founded Home Select in 2011 after seeing at first hand how hard it is to buy in Paris without an inside network. The founding idea was simple: a firm that acts for the buyer alone, with off-market access, sharp negotiation and full support from the first call to the keys in your hand. From one hunter in 2011, the team has grown to 16 in 2026, covering all twenty Paris arrondissements and 68 towns across Île-de-France.
Our method
Every search begins with a detailed brief: budget, area, floor area, natural light, floor, building. Your dedicated hunter then reviews 80 to 150 properties, previews the most promising and presents only three to five to you. Through a network of 15,000 contacts (agents, notaires, building managers, concierges), Home Select sees more than 100 off-market properties a day. The full six-step process takes 45 days on average, with a 6% reduction off the asking price on average.
Our commitments
Home Select works on a success-only basis: the 2.5% fee (minimum €10,000 incl. VAT) is due only once the right property has been found and bought. No sign-up fee, no deposit. The firm is a member of the FCI (Fédération des Chasseurs Immobiliers), holds the carte T transaction licence issued by the Paris CCI, and carries professional indemnity insurance.
