The French Property Hunters Federation is the body that brings property hunters together in France. It gives the profession its structure and standards.

How can I verify that a hunter is an FCI member?

You can check the FCI member directory. You can also ask the hunter for their FCI membership card, which is renewed each year.

What if a hunter does not abide by the charter?

The FCI has a disciplinary commission. Any breach can be reported, and may lead to sanctions ranging from a warning to permanent exclusion.

Is a non-FCI hunter necessarily a poor choice?

Not necessarily. But FCI membership is a verifiable mark of seriousness: the hunter has chosen to commit to an ethical charter and to peer review.

Does Home Select train new hunters?

Yes. We regularly train new hunters in house, in line with FCI standards.
